Active Travel

Does your local community need help to get your active travel plans off the ground, whether it’s someone to lead a few rides to build momentum locally, a path mapping exercise or a consultation about the sort of projects most likely to be popular in your community to help shift people away from private cars and onto sustainable transport, we can help!! Read our case studies below and get in touch for more information on how we can assist.

Northern Corridor Active Travel Hub Network – right along the Cumbernauld to Glasgow Commuter Route we have set up or assisted others to set up four Active Travel Hubs from which people can access free repair sessions and our alternatives to ownership such as long or short term bike and ebike hire as well as Scotlands first cycle subscription service for school age children.

Low cost public repair stands We can also help communities develop low costs solutions like cycle maintenance stands -access to simple but essential tools like tyre irons, a pump and spanners for adjustments can make a massive difference to people keeping their bikes on the road and having the confidence to travel into wider networks. We worked with young people in Croy to deliver cycle parking and a repair stand as well as showing them how to use the tools – check out a video of the project here Cloudberry Communities, – YouTube
